- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg (beaten)

- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, diced onion, salt, and pepper until combined. Form into 6–8 oval-shaped patties.
- Brown patties in a cast iron skillet over medium heat for 3–4 minutes on each side; set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté sliced onions until soft. Add flour to create a roux; stir for about two minutes.
- Gradually whisk in beef broth and cream until smooth.
- Nestle browned patties back into the gravy mixture and cover with a lid or foil.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 45 minutes; uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes to brown.
- Let rest for ten minutes before serving.
