  • 2 tuna steaks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, divided
  • Green onion, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (350°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, sesame oil, ground ginger, soy sauce, garlic powder, rice vinegar, and half of the sesame seeds.
  3. Place the tuna steaks in a shallow dish and coat with half of the marinade. Reserve the rest for later. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.
  4. Remove tuna from the marinade and coat with remaining sesame seeds.
  5. Grill each steak for about 2-3 minutes per side or until desired doneness (medium-rare: 135°F; well-done: 145°F).
  6. Serve topped with reserved marinade and garnish with green onions.
