- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, divided
- Green onion, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, sesame oil, ground ginger, soy sauce, garlic powder, rice vinegar, and half of the sesame seeds.
- Place the tuna steaks in a shallow dish and coat with half of the marinade. Reserve the rest for later. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.
- Remove tuna from the marinade and coat with remaining sesame seeds.
- Grill each steak for about 2-3 minutes per side or until desired doneness (medium-rare: 135°F; well-done: 145°F).
- Serve topped with reserved marinade and garnish with green onions.
