Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh salmon (cut into 4 pieces)
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chicken broth or water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Let your salmon sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes. Pat dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, lemon juice, grated ginger, Worcestershire sauce, chicken broth (or water), and cornstarch in a bowl.
  3. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the salmon skin-side down for about 5 minutes.
  4. Flip the salmon and cook on medium heat for an additional 2–3 minutes until nearly cooked through.
  5. Add remaining butter to the skillet and pour in the prepared sauce. Let it bubble for about 20–30 seconds before removing from heat. Spoon the glaze over the salmon.
  6. Serve immediately alongside your favorite sides.
