  • 1 lb potato gnocchi
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 shallots, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons flour

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. 2. Season the chicken with olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat for about 8–10 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Let rest and then dice.
  3. 3. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté shallots until soft. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. 4. Stir in flour to create a roux. Gradually whisk in chicken broth, milk, and heavy cream until thickened.
  5. 5. Add uncooked gnocchi and diced chicken to the sauce; stir well to coat.
  6. 6. Sprinkle with mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Bake for 12–15 minutes until bubbly.
