  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound chicken breast, diced
  • 2 cups cabbage, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (optional)
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the diced chicken in soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Prepare the sauce by mixing soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), black pepper, salt, crushed red pepper flakes (if desired), and cornstarch slurry; set aside.
  3. Heat butter in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and stir-fry the marinated chicken until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
  5. Add cabbage, bell pepper, and carrot; stir-fry until tender yet crisp.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet and pour in the prepared sauce; combine well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  7. Serve hot with green onions as garnish.
