  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1012 oz chocolate (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8 x 8 inch dish with parchment paper, leaving overhang.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, melted butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  3. Gradually mix in powdered sugar until well combined.
  4. Press the mixture into the prepared dish to form a ½ inch thick layer.
  5. Freeze for about 30 minutes until firm enough to cut.
  6. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out hearts; knead scraps together to make more shapes.
  7. Place hearts back in the freezer while preparing the chocolate.
  8. Melt chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler.
  9. Dip each heart into the melted chocolate; tap off excess.
  10. Place on parchment-lined tray and refrigerate until set.
