  • 3 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 medium red onion, finely diced
  • 1 rib celery, finely diced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, finely diced
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and cool under running water.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, pepper, sugar, salt, garlic, and onion powder.
  3. Add the diced vegetables to the dressing mixture and combine well.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cooled pasta with half of the dressing. Toss to coat evenly and refrigerate both the pasta and remaining dressing for at least 2 hours.
  5. Before serving, mix in the remaining dressing and adjust seasoning as needed.
