  • 1 ounce packet dry ranch dressing mix
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
  • ⅓ cup thinly sliced green onion
  • 2½ cups chicken breast (cooked, shredded boneless, skinless)
  • 12 ounces cooked, crumbled bacon
  • 2½ cups mild shredded cheddar cheese (divided 1 cup and 1½ cups)
  • 12 count package sweet Hawaiian rolls (sliced in half)
  • 6 tablespoons salted sweet cream butter (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh chives

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and spray a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Melt cream cheese in a heavy bottom stock pot over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
  3. Mix in ranch seasoning, onion powder, and black pepper.
  4. Stir in shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, green onions, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
  5. Place the bottom halves of the Hawaiian rolls into the baking dish.
  6. Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the rolls and top with remaining cheddar cheese.
  7. Add the top halves of the rolls and brush with melted butter before sprinkling with parmesan and chives.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; uncover and bake for an additional 5-8 minutes until golden brown.
