Ingredients
- 8 ounces uncooked fettuccine or linguine
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced thin)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/3 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (to taste)
- Freshly grated parmesan cheese (to taste – optional)
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook pasta until al dente.
- While pasta cooks, heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté mushrooms and garlic for about 5 minutes until mushrooms are tender.
- Remove mushrooms, add wine, Italian seasoning, lemon juice, flour, and Dijon mustard to the skillet. Stir until smooth.
- Gradually stir in heavy cream and let simmer until thickened.
- Return mushrooms to the sauce, season with salt and pepper, then combine with drained pasta.
- Serve garnished with parsley and parmesan cheese.
