  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by combining warm water and yeast in a bowl. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In another bowl, mix together flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Combine warm milk, sweetened condensed milk, softened butter, and one egg with the yeast mixture.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients to form a dough. Knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf or rolls, place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush with beaten egg mixed with water.
  8. Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool before slicing.
