  • 7 g instant yeast
  • 20 g honey
  • 400 g flour
  • 1 egg
  • 40 g butter
  • 8 g salt
  • 50 g fine semolina
  • 450 g steak (cut into pieces)
  • 5 g salt (for seasoning)
  • 3 g cayenne powder (for heat)
  • 3 g red bell pepper powder
  • 3 g onion powder
  • 2 g garlic powder
  • 1 g dried parsley
  • 80 g red onion (sliced)
  • 75 g red bell pepper (sliced)
  • grated cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine lukewarm milk, yeast, and honey. Mix well.
  2. Add flour, beaten egg, butter, and salt; blend thoroughly.
  3. Knead the dough for about 10–12 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for an hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Deflate the dough and divide it into 16 equal pieces; shape them into balls.
  6. Flatten two pieces of dough together and coat with semolina; let rise again for 30 minutes.
  7. Bake on a preheated skillet until golden brown on both sides.
  8. Cook the beef filling by sautéing steak with spices and veggies until browned; melt cheese on top if desired.
  9. Slice open each roll to fill with the beef mixture and serve warm.
