Ingredients
- 6 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 packet French onion soup mix
- 2 cups sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix sour cream, milk, melted butter, and French onion soup mix until smooth.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish. Pour half of the sour cream mixture over them.
- Repeat with remaining potatoes and mixture.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil, add shredded cheese on top, and bake uncovered for another 15 minutes until potatoes are tender.
