Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 8 oz linguine or fettuccine noodles
- 4 tsp fresh grated ginger
- 6 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 4 green onions (sliced)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned (about 5 minutes). Add fresh ginger and minced garlic during the last 2 minutes.
- While the beef is cooking, boil water in another pot and cook noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain well.
- Drain excess fat from the skillet and add brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.
- In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water until smooth. Pour into the skillet with the sauce and simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
- Add drained noodles to the skillet and toss gently to coat evenly. Allow sitting for an additional 2–3 minutes before serving.
