  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the sliced sausage for about 5 minutes and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, cook shrimp seasoned with salt and pepper for 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove from skillet.
  4. Add broccoli florets to the skillet with a splash of water; cover and steam for 3–4 minutes until tender but crisp.
  5. Return sausage and shrimp to the skillet; pour over your prepared honey garlic sauce. Stir well and cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Serve hot over rice or quinoa, garnished with fresh parsley or cilantro.
