Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the sliced sausage for about 5 minutes and set aside.
- In the same skillet, cook shrimp seasoned with salt and pepper for 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove from skillet.
- Add broccoli florets to the skillet with a splash of water; cover and steam for 3–4 minutes until tender but crisp.
- Return sausage and shrimp to the skillet; pour over your prepared honey garlic sauce. Stir well and cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Serve hot over rice or quinoa, garnished with fresh parsley or cilantro.
