Description

Ingredients

  • 12 soft white rolls
  • 350g (12 oz) thinly sliced ham
  • 250g (8 oz) Swiss cheese
  • 1/3 cup American mustard
  • 100g (7 tbsp) unsalted butter
  • 1/4 onion, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter with chopped onion, mustard, poppyseeds, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cut rolls in half horizontally; spread mustard on each half.
  4. Layer ham and cheese on the bottom half of the rolls in a baking pan.
  5. Bake uncovered for about 10 minutes.
  6. Pour butter mixture over the top half of the rolls and place it back on the assembled base.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and bake uncovered for another 10 minutes until golden brown.
