- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 cup dark corn syrup
- 1/2 cup butter (melted)
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups chopped pecans
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 13×9-inch baking pan with aluminum foil and spray it with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, confectioners' sugar, and salt. Cut in softened butter using a pastry blender until crumbly.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 15-18 minutes until lightly browned.
- In another bowl, combine brown sugar, dark corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, chopped pecans, and chocolate chips. Pour over the baked crust.
- Bake for an additional 30 minutes or until set. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
