  • 5 large egg yolks
  • 22 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix ground vanilla wafers, melted butter, and brown sugar. Press into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and bake for about 10 minutes until golden.
  2. In another bowl, whisk egg yolks until smooth. Add sweetened condensed milk, lime zest, and lime juice; mix well. Pour filling over the baked crust.
  3. Bake again for 20 minutes or until set. Cool at room temperature before refrigerating for at least two hours.
  4. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Cut chilled bars into squares and top with whipped cream before serving.
