Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup liquid aminos (or soy sauce)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tsp Sambal Oelek
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine liquid aminos (or soy sauce), brown sugar, garlic, rice wine vinegar, Sambal Oelek, and sesame oil. Bring to a boil.
  2. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water until dissolved.
  3. Stir the cornstarch slurry into the saucepan and whisk continuously over medium-low heat for about 5-10 minutes until thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool before transferring to an airtight jar.
