Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup finely diced onions
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 (1-ounce) packet taco seasoning
  • 1 (14-ounce) can diced tomatoes (with liquid)
  • 2 cups water
  • 8 ounces uncooked spaghetti
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté minced garlic and diced onions until fragrant. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in taco seasoning until the beef is well coated.
  3. Incorporate diced tomatoes (with liquid), water, and uncooked spaghetti into the skillet.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil. Push down spaghetti to ensure it's submerged.
  5. Reduce heat to simmer, cover, and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until spaghetti is tender.
  6. Remove the lid and let it cook for an additional minute to reduce any remaining liquid.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and cover again until melted (about 2-5 minutes).
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
