  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 5 ounces shredded provolone cheese
  • 8 sandwich buns
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Better than Bouillon beef base
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Sauté minced garlic and chopped vegetables until tender-crisp; set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, brown the ground sirloin with seasonings.
  4. Combine beef bouillon and tomato paste with the meat mixture; stir in sautéed vegetables.
  5. Add water, bring to a boil, then simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Stir in shredded provolone cheese until melted.
  7. Serve on sandwich buns while hot.
