Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 chicken breasts (250g each)
  • 100g pretzels
  • 35g plain flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 5 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp classic yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/8 tsp onion powder
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • Spices: paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, cayenne pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the honey mustard sauce by mixing mayonnaise, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, onion powder, and garlic powder in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Crush pretzels into coarse crumbs using a food processor or zip-lock bag.
  3. Set up your breading station with shallow dishes: one for flour seasoned with half the spices, one for beaten eggs, and one for pretzel crumbs mixed with the remaining spices.
  4. Slice chicken breasts into cutlets and dredge each in flour, dip in egg, then coat with pretzel crumbs.
