  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 6 Tbsp unsalted butter (for topping)
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour (for topping)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (for topping)
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice or ground cinnamon (for topping)
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar (for glaze)
  • 1/4 tsp maple extract (for glaze)
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup (for glaze)
  • 1 Tbsp milk or cream (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease an 8 or 9-inch metal loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and dark brown sugar until smooth. Mix in pumpkin puree and eggs until well combined.
  3. Gradually add spices, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and flour; mix gently until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  5. For the streusel topping, combine melted butter, flour, brown sugar, and spice in a bowl until it resembles wet sand. Sprinkle over the batter.
  6. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack before glazing.
