- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- ½ cup unsalted butter (softened for frosting)
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)
- 2–4 tbsp milk (for frosting)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine warm milk, melted butter, egg, food coloring, and vanilla extract. Mix into dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Let it rise in a greased bowl for about an hour.
- Prepare the filling by mixing softened butter with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll out the dough and spread the filling evenly; add chocolate chips if desired. Roll tightly and slice into 12 pieces.
