Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sugar

- 2/3 cup sugar

- 2 cups heavy cream, room temperature
- 2 pints strawberries, rinsed and sliced
- 2 pints blueberries, rinsed

- Prepare the fruit syrup by combining sugar, lemon juice, and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until dissolved and bring to a gentle boil. Remove from heat and cool.
- In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Gradually add heavy cream and beat until soft peaks form.
- In a trifle dish, layer angel food cake slices, drizzle with fruit syrup, add whipped cream mixture, followed by layers of sliced strawberries and blueberries. Repeat until ingredients are used up.
