  • 2 tubes (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 egg white, lightly beaten
  • 3 teaspoons caraway seeds
  • 1 pound sliced Swiss cheese
  • 1 1/4 pounds sliced deli corned beef
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sauerkraut, rinsed and well drained
  • 2/3 cup Thousand Island salad dressing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. On a floured surface, unroll one tube of crescent dough into a rectangle and press it into a greased 13×9-inch baking dish. Bake for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. In a bowl, mix the rinsed sauerkraut with Thousand Island dressing.
  4. Layer half of the Swiss cheese over the baked crust, followed by corned beef, the sauerkraut mixture, and remaining cheese.
  5. Unroll the second tube of crescent dough over the top and seal seams. Brush with egg white and sprinkle with caraway seeds.
  6. Bake for an additional 12–16 minutes until golden brown on top.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before slicing into squares.
