  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz wide egg noodles (cooked)
  • 2 cans (14 oz each) sauerkraut (drained)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cans (10.75 oz each) tomato soup
  • 1 can (10.75 oz) water
  • 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with diced onion, garlic powder, dried parsley, salt, and pepper.
  3. Layer the drained sauerkraut in the baking dish and sprinkle with brown sugar.
  4. Add cooked egg noodles on top of the sauerkraut followed by the browned beef mixture.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together tomato soup and water until smooth; pour over the layers.
  6. Top with shredded Swiss cheese.
  7. Bake for 30–45 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
