  • 1 lb raw shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 8 corn tortillas
  • 1/2 small purple cabbage (shredded)
  • 1 avocado (diced)
  • 1/2 red onion (diced)
  • 1 cup Cotija cheese (grated)
  • 1 lime (cut into wedges)
  • 1 garlic clove (pressed or minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 ½ tablespoons lime juice
  • ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¾ teaspoon Sriracha sauce

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine thawed shrimp, minced garlic, sea salt, black pepper, ground cumin, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp for 1–2 minutes on each side until opaque.
  3. Toast the tortillas over the stovetop flame or in a skillet until lightly charred.
  4. Prepare toppings: shred cabbage, dice avocado and onion, chop cilantro.
  5. For the sauce, whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, garlic powder, and Sriracha until smooth.
  6. Assemble each taco by placing shrimp and preferred toppings on toasted tortillas; drizzle with sauce before serving.
