- 1 bell pepper (half red, half green), sliced
- 5 tablespoons soy sauce (divided)
- 3 tablespoons sugar (divided)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (divided)
- Garlic powder
- Ground ginger
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Slice the onion and bell pepper; set aside.
- In a bowl, mix 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 teaspoon cornstarch, garlic powder, ground ginger, salt, and pepper. Pour over the steak and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, combine remaining soy sauce, cornstarch, and sugar for the glaze; set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook onions and bell peppers for about 3-5 minutes until slightly browned; remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil and cook marinated steak in a single layer for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
