  • 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup (235g) whole milk

  • 5 tablespoons (25g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 5 tablespoons (55g) hot water
  • 4 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate
  • 3 oz heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Grease and flour a tube pan.
  3. In a bowl, mix cocoa powder with hot water and set aside.
  4. Whisk together flour and baking powder in a separate bowl.
  5. Cream softened butter with sugar until light and fluffy.
  6. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  7. Alternately add the flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, starting and ending with flour.
