  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 28 Oreo cookies
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cubed)
  • 6 oz dark chocolate
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F (180C). Grease and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. For the cookie layer: Mix softened butter, both sugars, egg, egg yolk, and vanilla until blended. Gradually add flour; fold in chocolate chips.
  3. Spread half of the cookie dough in the pan; layer with Oreos.
  4. For the brownie layer: Melt butter and dark chocolate together. Stir in sugar and eggs one at a time. Sift in flour and cocoa powder; mix gently.
  5. Pour brownie batter over Oreos; dollop remaining cookie dough on top.
  6. Bake for about 50 minutes. Cool before slicing into squares.
