Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Flour (for dredging)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 large clove garlic (minced)
  • 3/4 cup marsala wine

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise to create four cutlets. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then coat in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and one tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from pan.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and sliced mushrooms; cook for 3-5 minutes until browned. Add minced garlic and sauté briefly.
  4. Pour in marsala wine and let simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly. Stir in heavy cream until well combined.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet and cook for another 4-5 minutes until cooked through and sauce thickens slightly.
