- Salt & pepper (to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Flour (for dredging)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
- 1 large clove garlic (minced)
- 3/4 cup marsala wine
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise to create four cutlets. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then coat in flour.
- Heat olive oil and one tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from pan.
- In the same skillet, add remaining butter and sliced mushrooms; cook for 3-5 minutes until browned. Add minced garlic and sauté briefly.
- Pour in marsala wine and let simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly. Stir in heavy cream until well combined.
- Return chicken to the skillet and cook for another 4-5 minutes until cooked through and sauce thickens slightly.
