Description

  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup sourdough discard
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan

Instructions

  1. In a stand mixer bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar; let sit until foamy (about 5 minutes).
  2. Add garlic salt, olive oil, and sourdough discard; gradually mix in flour with a dough hook until smooth (about 4 minutes).
  3. Transfer dough to a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm spot for 20 minutes.
  4. Roll out dough into a rectangle on a floured surface and transfer to a greased baking sheet (13×18 inches).
  5. Brush with melted butter; sprinkle with garlic powder, herbs, salt, pepper, mozzarella, and parmesan.
  6. Let rise for another 15 minutes while preheating the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  7. Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Cut into strips and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
